This page lists venues that we mainly use for our training course delivery


Our main training venue for courses in Bradford  (apart from first aid courses)

Manningham Mills CC – Equality Direct, Lilycroft Rd, Bradford BD9 5BD

Please enter the building using the front entrance facing the Police Station. There is a FREE car park at the side of Manningham Mills and also some street parking.  Go to reception and sign in and they will direct you to the Training room.

Note: Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided however in order to keep costs down we are unable to provide lunch. You are welcome to bring your own or there are some takeaway shops in the vicinity.

Please allow enough time to arrive at the training venue before the course starts. If you are not familiar with the venue please check your route beforehand to ensure you know where you are going and have allowed enough time.

Please note that the car park has recently installed a parking meter.  The charges are £1 for 4 hours or £2 for all day – ensure you have some change for the meter.  There is still some Free parking on the side street but a parking spot cannot be guaranteed.


Bradford University – First Aid courses only

Check your confirmation details to find out which University venue your course will be held in.

Parking is very limited on campus so arrival by public transport is advised.

If you need a disabled parking bay permit please email training@cabad.org.uk at least a week in advance so that we can make arrangements.


Voluntary Action Leeds (VAL)

Stringer House, 34 Lupton Street, Hunslet, Leeds,  LS10 2QW

We are combining our resources and skills to improve our training offer and these courses will be held at VAL.  VAL’s main office is Stringer House in Hunslet, approximately 1.5 miles from Leeds City Centre, with easy access from the motorway network.

The entrance to Stringer House is at the back of the building, through the car park.

Train
The nearest train station is Leeds City Train Station. Stringer House is approximately 1.5 miles from the station. To catch a bus it is a 5-10 minute walk from the train station to the bus stop (K4) near the Corn Exchange, (see bus information above). Or there is a taxi rank immediately outside the main concourse.

We are based at 25 Sunbridge Road in Bradford City Centre, 5 minutes from the Interchange and 10 minutes walk from Forster Square train station. On the second floor.

Community Payroll and Accounts are on the ground floor of our building and our entrance is the second doorway below Tesco Metro.

A level entrance is at the back of the building on Aldermanbury  (behind Centenary Square pubs and restaurants) where you can enter via the basement level and use the lift to all other floors.

Please note that we not have on-site car parking although there are a number of city centre car parks nearby.

By train
From Shipley Station head for the 1960s town centre clock which should visible.
From the clock continue up the main road (Kirkgate) a few hundred yards to the Kirkgate Centre, an old Victorian school building opposite the Town Hall.

By Bus
Most buses to Shipley stop in or near the market square.
Head towards the 1960s town clock.
